On the Trail of the Borgias

I have had a draft post about the Borgias for over a month now.

As I am currently reading a biography of Lucrezia and reviewing photos taken 5/6 years ago when my beautiful sister-in-law and I had a European Vacation together, I thought I’d review the said post.

To start with the holiday – sis-in-law and I went to Paris, Rome and Venice. Got mugged in Paris. Long story but money and passports stolen, two nightmare days in police station and British Consulate!!

From Paris we (finally) went on to Rome and did an organised tour of the Vatican. What I remember most about the Vatican are the Borgia rooms and being told that the walls etc had been covered up because of Pope Alexander’s dodgy taste in art. Yeh. Whatever!

This has always fascinated me – as have the Borgias in general.

You’ve got to love a thoroughly BADASS family

Going through my recent research, I’m finding strange things about this family that need further investigation.

It is looking like they were actually Laskaris (Comnenus) from Spain with connections to Crete (?)

Rodrigo (aka Pope Alexander) became “Pope” in 1492 (that bloody date AGAIN) which, when you add the 185 years of the new chronology, becomes 1677. Right at the height of the Great History Manipulation and the break-up of the Tartarian Empire.

So what?

Well, as I’m being led down this esoteric path, one of the rooms that Alexander Borgia occupied in the Vatican has two zodiacs recording the dates 1640/1641. (!!)

Mainstream History places Alexander 1431-1503. Shift forward 185 years and you get 1616-1688.

Something out of nothing? Maybe. But I have a theory forming.

Those who have a really BAD historical reputation seem to have been blackened for a specific reason.

It makes sense to me :o)
