Decoding the horoscope of the Zodiac in the cards of the Major Arcana Tarot

We begin the study of the first group, conditionally called “Astronomy.”

 

1. Moderation, The Temperance is sometimes called this card “Chastity” or “Two vessels”.

 

This card contains astronomical symbols and elements of the horoscope.

The main character of this card is a young woman with long golden hair in a navy dress stylized as a starry night, standing at the edge of the earth, possibly on the river bank and holding two cups (jugs) in her hands. That is why in Egyptian Tarot this card is called “Two Sosuds”.

A woman pours water from one vessel right to the other left. Two pitchers or cups from which water flows is a typical symbol of the constellation Aquarius in both Egyptian and European astronomy. This is proven by the research of “New Chronology” and N.A. Morozov on the zodiac horoscopes. There is no such distinctive symbolism on any other card of this Tarot deck.

A woman on the card can symbolize one of the female planets of antiquity, the Moon or Venus. Looking ahead, I will say that in the Tarot deck under investigation there is a special card called “Moon”, on which there is characteristic symbolism associated with the constellation and the planet of antiquity, the Moon. On the “Moon” card, the position of the planet Moon is defined in another constellation of the Zodiac – in “Virgo”.

Therefore, it is the planet Venus that is depicted on this “Moderation” card.

The image shows that the right vessel in the hands of a woman is clearly touching the edge of the card. Given the study of “New Chronology” and N.A. Morozov analysis of the elements of the zodiac horoscopes, we can assume that this feature means: the planet Venus is near the border of the constellation Aquarius, the neighboring constellation.

In addition, there is a symbolism directly linking this card and the Visconti-Sforza family. According to the official biography, Francesco Sforza was engaged to Bianca Maria Visconti in 1432, and married her only in 1441, that is, nine years later. There is information that it was Bianca Maria who insisted on such a long engagement and refused to marry earlier, that is, she showed her “Moderation” and observed “Chastity”. The second identification of the girl Bianca is her blond hair, which is also reflected in the hair color of the Temperance card.

According to the study, the “Moderation” map of the Tarot deck “Perpont Morgan – Bergamo” can represent Bianca Maria Visconti, and its astronomical significance is the planet Venus in the Aquarius constellation near the borders with the neighboring constellation.
