I’m feeling very philomasophical today. OK, I know – I just stole a Homer Simpsonism.
Anyhoo,
Voices.
I am a HUGE fan of audiobooks.
Like everyone else, I am much too busy to sit down and read for hours, like I used to as a kid. So, I carry on doing all the mundane stuff but with an audiobook on in the background. Yay. 23 birds with one stone.
The point is — the voice narrating the audiobook is, for me, very important. Not nationality, accent, gender etc but the resonance, the wavelength, the vibration of the voice, This also applies to Youtube. The phone. TV. Some of the voices I can listen to forever.
I can’t explain it in words. It’s a feeling.
I’ve put up a picture of Hugh Fraser. I love Agatha Christie books and his voice. in my opinion, is perfect. Greg Wise and Saskia Reeeves reading Dracula. Diana Porter, Judith Boyd. A long list.
I think that I am trying to say…you can be pretty, be smiley, be trusted, be adored by gazillions, be world famous.
But, at the end of the day, all you have to do is speak.
The vibration/resonance will always be felt.
Philomasophical :o)
