Talking of books that I have….Rumi.

Otherwise known as Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Rūmi

I’ve been reading his wisdom.

 

“Don’t be satisfied with stories, how things have gone with others. Unfold your own myth.”

“You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean, in a drop.”

“Ignore those that make you fearful and sad, that degrade you back towards disease and death.”

“Set your life on fire. Seek those who fan your flames.”

“Seek the wisdom that will untie your knot. Seek the path that demands your whole being.”

 “Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.”

“When the world pushes you to your knees, you’re in the perfect position to pray.”

 

And my very favourite:

“Run from what’s comfortable. Forget safety. Live where you fear to live. Destroy your reputation. Be notorious. I have tried prudent planning long enough. From now on I’ll be mad.”
