There is “something” about the Republic of Genoa that I can’t quite grasp yet.

It’s so bloody annoying!

Why do the history books all say that Christopher Columbus was from Genoa when he was more probably from Chios? He was Greek.

I’ve covered him and his son Hernando already here a while back.

The flag above represents the Genovese. The Republic was/is dedicated to St. George.

It looks sort of familiar. Reminds me of something !

Oh yes. England and …..urm…..what were they called?

I’m thinking that someone, somewhere has hijacked the true history of Genoa.
