By George. I think she’s got it!
I won’t even bother with a wikiwtf about Jehanne d’Arc. A story too well known.
At the risk of repeating myself…M’eh.
Witches were Hanged.
Pictures are Hung.
Anacaona was hanged.

Yep. Rewind. But notice all that FIRE?
Two Female Warriors. Both betrayed by the powers that want to be.
Jehanne was accused of being a witch. But she was tried by Pierre Cauchon (and overseen by CARDINAL Beaufort – who was also Bishop of LINCOLN. my local city) as a heretic. Church Militant.
Hence the pyre. Heretics are burned.
Like the Cathars.
Also – and I’m peeved that I can’t remember the full facts right now – but throughout “ancient” British and Welsh history there runs a similar story about the gathering of conquered and conqueror in a friendly feast. That ends up with enemy weapons secreted and a wholesale massacre.
Same old. Same old (?)
