My 1839 house has an attached coach house that I’m in year 9 of renovating. It’s HUGE enough to house a pony, trap and stable hand.

It’s all my fault! When the head/ boss/important local County Council Conversation Officer came round to give his “permission” for renovating a potentially falling down building he said…

“We will only grant permission to return it to it’s original use.”

Says me, “So I’m meant to get a pony and trap and you’ll cut out all the Red Tape Crap?”

Never saw him again.

Building still unfinished.

And yet – these City Halls….WOW!
