I pulled a book off one of my shelves this morning to do some research and got a bit of a surprise.

Wiki : Helena Faucit, Lady Martin

She wrote – Some of Shakespeare’s Female Characters.

I’ve had it for eons. Bought for £4.50 in a secondhand bookshop for no reason whatsoever (!)

The surprise?

I’ve just realised that it’s a First Edition. With Lady M’s dedication to “Her Most Gracious Majesty, The QUEEN.”

It was written in the 1850’s
