The meaning of “your goose is cooked” is nominally “you are in big trouble” but it can include “you caused yourself big trouble.” It’s somewhat similar in meaning to another expression: “you’re a dead duck.” “Your goose is cooked” came from the death of Jan Hus, a Czech priest in the early 14th century
