I came across Isabelle many moons ago via a fictionalised account of her life. I looked a little deeper into her story.

I might just have to look deeper still. And pay more attention (!)

If I remember correctly, she embraced Sufism wholeheartedly and converted to Islam.

P.S. I’d also forgotten that she was a member of the 27 Club :o)
