What does this mean to you?

I heard many years ago that the term, an acronym of “Not Available For F***ing” originated in the UK gay community and gained by extension the sense of “no good” or “useless”.

 

It was a phrase used commonly in the British Comedy Porridge. Set in the fictional Slade Prison.

 

My Dad had the “honour” once of being Annie, Princess RoYaL’s Special Branch Protection Officer.

She said that phrase often to the peasants around her, including Dad.

My husband once had the “honour” of being said Annie’s Close Protection Officer in Hamburg.

She left HIM all alone in the airport with No money to buy a flight home to Ireland.
