Being ALMOST as Scandinavian as I am Scottish (29% former/36%latter – even though they are both, basically, the same!) I have always had a fondness for the Norse myths about Trolls.

 

A troll is a class of being in Norse mythology and Scandinavian folklore. In Old Norse sources, beings described as trolls dwell in isolated rocks, mountains, or caves, live together in small family units, and are rarely helpful to human beings.

Awww! They’re funny/UGLY and OH SO predictable, and really, truly cannot help themselves. So they run around like mad maniacs effing up everyone else’s lives. Just because that’s what they’re BORN to do. And it kinda makes them feel better. Misery LOVES company   :o)
