Enid Anne Sylvia and Vernon Cable.

There seems to’ve been a strange tradition in my family to Christian their children one way but “call” them another way.

Enid Anne Sylvia was my beloved Nan. Known to us as Anne.

Vernon was her brother. Known to the world as Tom.

This is one of two books that Great Uncle Vernon wrote.

He only mentions his sister ONCE. And calls her Sylvia.

She’s in the picture below.

Oh. And btw – I’d forgotten the name of the Big House that we stayed a few doors away from. It’s in the picture too. A beautiful place  :o)
