Farrlacey Alpacas

Or Dick & Trev as I knew them.

Farrlacey Alpagas

When I had my shop in 2005/2006 I had the most amazing local Alpaca wool suppliers.

They lived about 2 miles away and came to visit me in the shop one day to ask if I’d be interested in selling their alpaca wool. They gave me a few free samples which I knitted up that night.

Next day I rang and said…..YES! Come back and talk to me, ASAP!

So began an amazing relationship between Dick, Trev and me.

They took me to their mill  – half a mile away and showed me the full process.

They took me to their home. To show and introduce me to meet their gorgeous Alpacas in the back garden.

They took me to a fashion show down south to show off one of their wools that I’d knitted into a full length 1930’s style coat.

We had a blast!

Then I was forced to close my shop.

A few months later Dick & Trev relocated to France. Where they are now doing sooooooooooo well.

Happy Sigh.

P.S. I still use what is left of their wool today. For little projects – like handbags.
