Gothic Horror

I have the book above. Why?

Well. In case y’all hadn’t guessed by now (!) I have a bit of a penchant for this genre.

It started aged about 10 when I read Castle Cloud by Elizabeth Norman.

So followed many others (in no particular order) Bronte, Mary Shelly, Daphne du Maurier, Ann Radcliffe, The Castle of Otranto/Horace Walpole, Henry James, Bram Stoker, E.A. Poe, H.P. Lovecraft, Anne Rice, Shirley Jackson, J.Sheridan le Fanu, Conan Doyle, Wilkie Collins, Robert Louis Stevenson, Oscar Wilde etc

Mmmmn. Elements of a CLASSIC Gothic Horror story are…..?

I’ve just written a sloppy synopsis for mine :o)
