A lesson my Aunt Maureen (Mum’s sis. The nurse) taught me many MANY years ago when I complained about the common and garden mint that was taking over my garden!
Get an Old bucket. Take the bottom out. Push it (bucket) into the soil. Fill it with earth. Plant/tame your mint.

P.S. The foot cut off an old wellie/a drainpipe/a baked bean can with both bottom and top removed/a rolled up piece of (Shudder) Newspaper or the inside of a loo roll to start/that saucepan that you’ve burned to buggery and attacked with a sharp tool/get creative yourself ?
