GB English vs US English

HERE we call them LIFTS.

THERE they call them ELEVATORS.

OK. Whatev’s. I’m more than happy to meet up in the middle of the language pond.

I can use either –

ELELIFT

Or –

LIFTEVATOR

No probs. Except for 2.

When the elelift is crowded with whinging people or the liftevator has a see-through floor and is on the outside of a VERY TALL building.

Then I might…..ok……WILL freak out

P.S. I even went all whoozy/freaky/barmy on the London Eye.

Their “pods” have glass floors.

SOOOOOO unnatural and scary for Me :o(
