I’ve talked about Scouse/JJ before.

When we first met, in Chichester, he and his beautiful first wife, Angie, were our next door neighbours.

Angie – a fellow Scouse – was also a nurse. But in Chichester, she left the NHS to go into private nursing and ended up nursing at Graylingwell Mental Asylum.

Some of our chats about her (unnamed but fave) patients broke my heart.

Especially the little old lady who had been a resident for 40/50/60 years.

No precise details can be given because Angie was not a big mouth.

Anyway. Over the months, she learned her little old lady’s life history.

As a teenager, this patient had fallen in love with a hit and quit merchant. Fallen pregnant and given birth to a baby that was taken away from her within minutes of the birth. Her family were so DISGUSTED that they sent their wayward daughter to Graylingwell.

Over the decades, the now-not-teenager had been subjected to horrific trials including mind-altering drug therapy, electric shock treatment, freezing cold water therapy…and I hate to imagine a single one of the untold TRUE LIFE events.

MENTAL Asylums or CORRECTION Houses for Wayward Women or EXPERIMENT centres or MIND CONTROL centres or TORTURE chambers or the complete destruction of the mother in order to manage and control BABY FARMS?
