I have a woman in my life who was adopted at birth. She grew up with her “parents” never knowing her real name or family history.
At the age of 13/14 she gave birth to a daughter who was taken from her – immediately – and then she was sent back to her “parents.”
There she was AGAIN introduced to numerous “Uncles” who loved to her sit on their knee whilst they shoved ye olde pennies down her front and then retrieved said pennies with a laugh and……!
Aged 15 she voluntarily left “home” and placed herself into a “Children’s Home.”
She gave birth to her second child aged 17. Fortunately, this time, the father of the child married her. Over 60 years later, they are STILL married.
