POETS Day : Have I done Coleridge ?

Dunno. And I even had to check what day it is today.

P Off Early Tomorrow’s Saturday.

Someone nearby bravely/stupidly (!?) volunteered to do Emergency Rescue all week. 5 days in. At least 2 over 20 hour days worked.

I’m upside down and back to front. What IS Sleep?

Anyways. I love Coleridge. (I pronounce him Cooler-idge. Dunno if that’s right.)

Kubla Khan

BY SAMUEL TAYLOR COLERIDGE

Or, a vision in a dream. A Fragment.

In Xanadu did Kubla Khan
A stately pleasure-dome decree:
Where Alph, the sacred river, ran
Through caverns measureless to man
   Down to a sunless sea.

So twice five miles of fertile ground
With walls and towers were girdled round;
And there were gardens bright with sinuous rills,
Where blossomed many an incense-bearing tree;
And here were forests ancient as the hills,
Enfolding sunny spots of greenery.
