Pickey = a Gypsy or Traveller..

OK. So. I’ve had F1RST hand experience of soi-disant “Pikeys.”

Working in a hotel in Amesbury during the major police crackdown of people visiting Stonehenge – just down the road. Research that Fake as fakery ?

A traveller or two would come into the hotel, see me on the reception desk and ask, very politely, can my little daughter/son use the loo.

Me : Yes. Of course.

Mrs Abbot (Hotel Owner) : If you let those “creatures” into MY hotel just one more time, you are sacked.”

Someone close to me has just spent two days on Emergency Rescue with a 100 foot split right down the middle lime tree, a traveller camp and a local council estate. And was STUNNED speechless by the cleanliness, politeness and friendliness of these SOCIALLY DISTANCED/Hated/Reviled/Unwanted/Unliked people.

He was given NOTHING but warmth and welcome from the “Pikey” travellers (many but not all Irish.)

And – God’s Honest Truth – the roads were all shut off as this massive tree had to be felled. A paramedic lady, whose car was behind the barriers was crying and pleading to be able to drive to work.

One of the “pikey” woman threw a set of car keys at her (said paramedic) and shouted…

“There y’go, me darlin’. Take my car. ‘Tis that’un over there.”

I have NEVER and will NEVER call a Gypsy/Traveller a “Pikey.”

They are just hated because they live by their own rules and laws. AS in – Family F1RST. Fuck every single Government Control. Leave us alone
