Welcome To My Orchard

Wow! I’m glad I don’t do this video thing for a living. 6 hours?

#NoPatience.

Anyways. This was filmed at 6am this morning. My orchard.

So much to do, so little time. I didn’t get around to cutting back the raspberries last year but that has proved a blessing in disguise. I have an interloper! A Wild Dog Rose growing amongst them (along with a zillion nettles!)

When they finish fruiting this year…the Master Plan is to cut back, dig up, relocate.

  1. Absolutely stunning, Greta! I think your natural artistic talents are showcased very well in video as well! I love the bird sounds, the gorgeous, emerald greenery. I see the raspberries and the wild rose! The woodland spirits are making lovely magic in your orchard! I will be watching this again and again. Those birds! You have no idea how wonderful that is to me…so natural and so many! Where I live, birds have all but disappeared, along with insects, butterflies and most wildlife. What a beautiful way to start the month of midsummer!

    1. Oh, Debbie. Birds and everything all but gone?
That must be so painful for you. I KNOW your connection with nature is strong and vibrant :o(
      Thank you.
D’you know? I’ve had people stay here and disappear for ages in the garden. Then (more than one) has come back and said to me….There are people who PAY MONEY for CD’s full of birdsong. And you get it for free here.
I’d half – forgotten that it was Midsummer month. Which shows how BAD a mother I am. It’s B’s birthday in 25 days :o)
      Love x
