Rosa Canina

Decades ago, virtually every hedgerow in the UK had a Wild Dog Rose growing. Nowadays, especially around here, they are quite rare. Something that has always surprised me because I’m surrounded by farmland.

Anyway – this is the interloper that I found in my sadly neglected raspberry run the other day.

And the above is why I was so surprised and delighted to see this perfect little gift :o)
