Great Success

Make Do & Cook!

OK. I’ve never claimed to be a Michelin Star Chef. I just cook.

Today I had :

A bag of frozen diced carrot, onion, potato that I’d found at the bottom of the freezer.

Quite a few chicken pieces from same place (some boned, some not.)

The rest of the floury potatoes in the veg rack.

Half a gallon of chicken stock.

Vegetable suet, salt, garlic pepper, Self-Raising Flour, Sage & Rosemary (in the garden) and dried Tarragon.

A HUGE German Stew Pot that I was given about 20 years ago.

All I had to buy were – a bunch of celery, some freshly baked uncut tiger bread and a small pot of double cream.

All (apart from bread and cream) chucked in the pot. Cooked for 4 hours in the Aga (as I spent time ogling once or twice at the big screen!!!!)

Great Success.

P.S. Tarragon and Garlic Pepper Dumplings are the way ahead chez moi :o)
