I really love this film. Despite everything!

For some strange reason (shrug) I found myself in a conversation this morning with someone who has been “researching” Edward I (Longshanks) and is now of the opinion that he was a thoroughly good bean after all.

Mmmn! I might’ve grown up a bit and mastered my hair trigger tongue!?

MY history was shouted down every single time by MS History.

Apparently, ALL the castles in Wales were built by Longshank.

I brought up 1066 and William the Bastard.

Apparently, Longshanks almost captured Jerusalem whilst on a Crusade.

I brought up William the Bastard’s eldest son Robert (Curthose) Duke of Normandy and 1096. F1RST Crusade – or so they say!

We talked for about half an hour and I didn’t lose my temper ONCE. Woohoooo!
