Just Another Normal Day!

I went into town early this morning to pick up some medication from the local Surgery.

Picture this :

The Dispensary is by the front door, the reception across the waiting room.

Chemist : Yes?

I say the name on the prescription

You’re not wearing a mask. Please wait outside.

OK.

As I’m waiting – outside – two older people come out complaining that they can’t breathe behind their masks.

Chemist comes out : Do you pay for this?

Yes.

Slight pause: You need to come in then.

As we enter, chemist shouts across the room to receptionist : Get this one a mask to wear!

I shout : Don’t bother, love. I won’t wear it!!!

Do you have a letter exempting you from wearing a mask?

Nope.

All I could see were many pairs of very wide eyes above masks staring at me with that “OMG. Did she actually do that ?” vibe as I sailed out with the meds and a huge smile on my face.

We live in a silly world :o)
