Flaturday Night’s Alright for Fighting

I’ve done this one before!!

Elton John’s writing partner Bernie Taupin confirmed the street violence he saw growing up in north Lincolnshire inspired him to write one of the greatest songs of the 1970s.

“Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting” released in 1973 was based on the visits Bernie had to Grimsby and his experience of rival gangs from Caistor, near his home village of Owmby-by Spital, and Market Rasen.

We had our Head Office UK in Caistor. And I know Market Rasen quite well too!

And I have a link to a Landrover full of heavily armed men on the M25 going towards a HUGE exercise at Heathrow Airport passing a PINK Rolls Royce carrying Reg Dwight queening it in the back of his deluxe car and being dissed by said armed men and their middle fingers.

God’s Honest.

I’m NOT Grinning in a Highland Malice Fasces -ion. NOT!
