The Original Railway Murder Mystery : Documentary on The Real Victorian Murder Mystery

As I seem to’ve gone a bit Gothic right now, I’ll go with the flow.

This is an interesting documentary, imho, for several reasons.

Victorians had anxieties about the Iron Roads spreading across the land?

I was telling my eldest about Mr Beeching yesterday. The subject came up because I know that our local Bush Tyres building is on the site of the former town railway station.

Check out Mr/Dr/Baron Beeching and how he destroyed all the rural district railways in the 1960’s so that MAJOR roads/dual carriageways, motorways, mutli-story car parks, and Pay to Park machines could be built instead.

Meanwhile – back with the Victorians who taught us that it’s soooooooo much safer to travel alone in a car than on a train full of “strangers.”
