Scandalous WOMEN (?)

This is the very last thing that I should be watching right now!

Triggered? Me? YES!

When I lived in Army Quarters and was known just as “Wife of…” – as all wives were – I used to casually leave my copy of Mary Wollstonecraft’s book A Vindication of the Rights of Women lying about.

It NEVER failed to start an argument.

Mary Wollstonecraft had a very famous daughter called Mary, who married the poet known as Percy Bysshe Shelley and who, like her mother, was a writer. Frankenstein anyone?

A Vindication was written in the 1790’s but it seems to have made little impact on the all male establishment – as the video below shows. More than 50/70/90/100/200 years later, not much had changed for the female of the species.
