My youngest sis-in-law married an Englishman man called Davis (who has a degree in Physics but is now an accountant!) The wedding was held in a secret location close to Hereford where her Welsh, ex-Royal Engineer, father worked.

The groom’s speech contained this sentence (and I was there and heard it)…

Well. Your daughter’s surname is now Davis. D A V I S. Not the Welsh Davies. D A V I E S. Oh. And who won the last England/Wales Rugby match?
