Oh. Erm. OK.
I’ve said before that one of the names from my Maternal Norfolk Line was Dyer.
We will close over the MS History of Amelia Dyer (such a common name!)
This vid has sooo many crazy, bizarre, inexplicable links for me that I’ve gone totally Bats in the Belfry :o(
P.S. I always get a The House of Niccolò vibe from this name. Someone will understand that !
Dyer (/ˈdaɪ.ər/) is an English surname with early medieval origins, deriving from the trade of cloth dying. Dyer is also found in Ireland (Counties Sligo and Roscommon) as an Anglicization of the Gaelic surname in Ireland O Duibhir and Mac Duibhir. (O’Dyer / McDyer) These are both derived from the words dubh, which means black, and odhar or uidhir, which means uncoloured.
