I woke up early today. Again. I blame the village Roosters Cockadoodle-doing at dawn!
No. I don’t. That’s a lie. I grew up listening to Roosters Crow!
Anyhoo. I was determined to get to the shop and buy a Proper Sunday Lunch.
All ingredients bought and I’m faffing about in the last aisle looking for something that I’d forgotten to put on my list but I knew I needed – when a lovely little old man (no insult intended) next to me, wearing a mask, said, “Can you help me, please?”
Unmasked me said yes. How?
Upshot was, he’d been sent out early by wifey to buy washing powder but was very confused by everything on the shelves. He was choosing fabric conditioner. So I asked…“Is it the soap you want?”
She wants to do the Sunday washing. What do I buy?
I have to say – even I got confused at this point. I use Washing Powder but now we have Washing Liquid and Washing GEL (?)
I said a few names. Bold. Daz. Fairy. Persil.
I recognise them. What do you recommend, love?
Me : Well, the Co-op brand of Washing Gel is cheaper than the rest and does the same thing.
We parted as friends :o)
FYI | In the UK PANTS mean underwear/grollies/knickers/underfrillies/bloomers/unmentionables :o)
And if you #GoCommando – that means sans underwear/grollies/knickers/underfrillies/bloomers/unmentionables :o)
