It was only recently that I learned just how much John Lydon (aka Johnny Rotten) knew about/respected Shakespeare.

I’ve ALWAYS liked him since I was a teenager but never quite understood why.

After the Sex Pistols, he re-invented himself as PIL. Public Image Limited.

OMG. He KNOWS!

He KNOWS that PUBLIC IMAGE is the “be all and end all” force of so many peoples’ lives.

As long as y’all keep on the MASK. And pretend. And lie. And abuse. And cheat. And steal. And LOVE your fake lovers …..Y’all will have a SOLID/RESPECTED/ADORED/OUTSIDE VALIDATED Public Image.

It’s a never-ending game of producing CRAP, gathering CRAP.
