Son of Odo

I will NOT go into the real life story of exactly who used this nom de plume when……….ZIP!

But my children bear the same name.

surname could be from “‘the son of Odo‘ from the nickname Oddy, sometimes Hoddy, whence Odson or……!

It’s a common name in Wales. Taken from their father and grandfather and…..maybe (?)

ODO of Bayeux

But. Hold on. That can’t be right. ODO was a Bishop. Of Bayeux. Half-brother of William the BASTARD!

1066?

Ravens of Dinewfr?

UnderValued AUTHENTIC Historian?

P.S… B-i-L (after decades together) STILL calls my Traveller-in-Mayhem Hod or Hoddy
