In a former life I was a Vintage Clothing dealer. My “speciality” was 1910-1930.

I used to get Victorian clothing and 1940’s clothing sent to me but they were just m’eh.

Edwardian/20’s/30’s were all I needed.

I researched the designers/tailors/materials/wearers. And even how to make them myself. Erte. Poiret. Callot Soeurs. Chanel. Lanvin, Delauney, Vionnet, Patou. But my fave was always Adrian.

Wow. What style. What elegance. What form and line.

P.S. I adore the line Harlow says in the clip below about “reading a book.” And the answer she gets even more :o)
