When I served in Berlin, the powers that be (?) would often call a Rocking Horse.

They didn’t give a crap about us “feet on the ground” when the Fricking alarm sounded….at any of the 24 hour clock.

I remember Gatow very well. Us RMP were called there regularly. And I’ll never forget the wifey who called us once – when I was on duty – about an incident with her neighbours. The flat was soooooo disgusting (used nappies on the sofa) (dog poop all over the carpet) that my partner and I chose to write out her statement standing up, in the middle of the room. And we declined her, very nice, offer for a cup of tea!
