There are MANY reasons why I LOVE this Lewis episode.

Rewind. Repeat. Inspector Morse. John Thaw. Colin Dexter. Brilliant Writers. Oxford. Kevin Whately. Geordies. LAURENCE FOX. Music. Inklings. ALAN DAVIES………….etc

D.S. Hathaway is an enigma. He studied Theology and wanted to become a priest but “something tragic” happened and he ends up as a PolicePerson. Who kinda knows a lot of things about a lot of things.

He is single. We only ever see him ONCE in the whole series being – erm – Not Single.

WHY?

Because he is married to his guitar. Which some barsteward steals in this episode.

A fabulous sub-plot that says more about James Hathaway than any other episode :o)
