Butternut Squash Soup

Now – I don’t want to flute my toot but…I can make a MEAN Butternut Squash soup.

The first time I used squashes from my garden. With potatoes, red peppers, chicken stock, garlic pepper, salt, olive oil, onion and a dash of cream.

P.S. Someone in the FAM has a sense of humour (?)

For about 3 years, f-in-law kept getting invites from the TV company that makes Come Dine With Me to appear on the show.

Bless him. As his own wife kept saying….The guests would get Heinz Mulligatawny Soup from the can as a starter. HIS fave and a soup that I had for a starter in Karachi Golf Club Restaurant!

Beans on toast as the main.

And a shop-bought Welsh Cake as pudding.

PLUS – the kind of conversation that is not suitable for TV :o)
