Waaaaay Back in ’95/96 I wrote a paper (helped by a weapons expert!) asking for the “powers that be” in FCO at Whitehall to allow the Secret Unit in a Secret Place in Hampshire to use Minimi across the world.

NO. NOT THAT ONE ABOVE! Fluff’s Sake.

Fortunately – said paper made it all the way to the Big Wigs and got approved.

It is now #StandardIssue.
