The more that I study the Tarot, the more I see!
Take the Hermit for example. You see an old man, with a long white beard, holding a staff/rod in his left hand and a brightly lit lamp in his right.
It looks like he is standing on top of a mountain range.
This is a Number 9 card. And I’ve done quite a bit, here, about the endless miracles of the Number 9.
Conversely, in Tarot, 9 is also the number of what can be called “the beginning of the end.”
Like so much in life, there are many, many, many Hidden meanings here :o)
BTW – The Church calls Tarot “The Devil’s Picture Book.” Which to me means that it has so much knowledge hidden within that we’ve been forced to see it as Evil. To shun and deride. To reject and denounce. WHY would they do that ? ? ?
