It’s Oh So Quiet : 1995

In 1995 I was working 3 (nope 4…5?) jobs just to put food on my kids’ table.

By day I was Child-Minder to my kids and neighbours kids. Kiddie driver to the village school.

At 9 am I became NAAFI cleaner, toilet cleaner until 12/1pm. Home. Clean house, do shopping etc.

Pick kids up at 3:15pm. Child-minded and fed kids until about 6pm.

At 7pm (give or take a half hour) I turned in NAAFI barmaid – when we had adult troops visiting.

Or – when we had the TA (Territorial Army) teenagers on camp – I worked behind the bar boiling kettle after kettle of water to make them their FAVOURITE food.

Pot Noodle anyone? I swear they’d all pour neat vodka into their noodles… judging from the mess we’d clean up next morning!!!

Noodle fight anyone?

Oh. And this song kept playing. Wuhever I went :o)

Urm. Pot. Kettle. Black Vibe, GB? Ooops :o(
