“To all you old buggers, like me, out there, what are your memories of the Toc H?
I remember it as being an addition to the NAAFI. They used to go round in old vans dishing out tea and butties on ranges and on the outskirts of camp.“
When you’d been up since before dawn washing, repainting, servicing Landrovers by the dozen, the most welcome sight in the world was the Toc H wagon.
I don’t drink builders’ tea (well, I do, apart from the sugar) and in the UK it usually comes with be a Bacon Buttie but in Germany I always chose a Liverwurst Sandwich.
Heaven :o)
P.S. I’ve had many builders on my property. We always make tea for them. First question I ask – How do you like it?
Builders, thanks love.
OK.
P.S. No builder has EVER thrown a brick at me. Yet :o)
