Word of the Day : S.H.one.T

SH1T!

I’ve been up since stupid o’clock tending to the poorly puppy.

Two hot water bottles, one Alpaca Yarn hand-crocheted blanket, scrambled eggs, ham (with secret drugs on top), scrambled eggs and a cup of tea later….! I’m knackered.

All the above for doggy, btw!!!!

One bright light. I had to go into town at around 6.30am. Our local newsagent has been a family run business for generations. They were running the same shop when I moved here aged 10…. almost a century ago.

Anyhoo – the last generation sold the place, about two years ago, to a family from Sri Lanka, of all places, and the new owner often greets me with “Hello, Ma’am.”

I always reply, “Hello, Sir.”

We don’t even know each other’s names but we always enjoy our short but sweet meetings :o)
