I’ve had this on/off vibe with James Blunt. The name change is a give-away :o(
If you listen to the stories of 1999 in Kosovo and having his guitar strapped to the outside of HIS tank you’d think he was a War Hero.
My husband, my brother and several friends spent time Bosnia/Serbia/Albania.
I worked at Larkhill, the Home of the Royal Artillery with men who’d actually met The Angel of Mostar.
Whilst I don’t fault what Sally tried to do, she did actually ruin quite a lot !
I’ve now forgiven James Blount for being a Sandhurst man (Officer. Son of an Officer) because he was born in Tidworth – a place that I knew quite well. Next to Bulford. AND, best of all, he has Danish ancestry.
I’ll just forget the mainstream media hype/sponsorship/public relations BS and enjoy his music.
He writes REAL LIFE lyrics. Yay :o)
