I left home at 3 minutes past 8 this morning to get petrol for the car. I KNEW, when I went to bed last night, that I had over £20 in my account.

So – I buy £10 of petrol. Go and pay via chip and pin…….Computer Says NOOOOO!

I’ve been in this kind of sitch many times in the past and have exited with a little amount of grace but not this time.

There is no way you can take petrol out of your car without causing a major kerfuffle.

Thankfully – my local garage knows me. I gave my bank card over as hostage and was allowed to drive away without paying.

A half hour later (after finding out that chip and pin transactions can take a few days to show up and, after robbing someone else’s account via the computer) I returned to pay my debts.

Died of embarrassment on the spot vibe ?

This would NEVER happen with Cash-in-Hand :o(
