I’ve been sent back to Ancient Roman times to study this one!
Yes. Well. I don’t, for a single minute, believe that the author of these 10 books was Augustus’ Town Planner way back when. I’d bet all the money I have (£5.45p) that this man was much nearer to the time of Leonardo da Vinci than any Roman Emperor.
He was a mathematician, engineer, town planner, astronomer and all round clever clogs who seems to have been one of the MAJOR proponents of planning and building cities on Pure (Sacred) Geometry.
I’ve had this feeling that “Star Forts” are somehow linked to the constellations and Mr Renaissance Man writes a lot about the cosmos and astrology and alignments.
I haven’t got to the chapter on bricks yet….just another 300 or so pages to go :o)
