Oh. I’ve had such a giggle today :o)

I ALWAYS fill in the Census Form. Not because it’s demanded by LAW so much as because I’ve used the Census Records many times in my own research.

This newest one is 32 pages long.

I always fill it out. For the 4 of us. But the questions this time have had me almost crying with laughter.

I was NOT BORN in the UK so stuff gets complicated for me a the form filler in-ner but that’s not the point!

Q#16 : What is your Religion?… Followed by This question is voluntary.

Q#26 : Which of the following best describes your sexual orientation?… How very dare they!!!!

Q#27 : Is the gender you identify with the same as your sex registration at birth?… Hang On. Let me take a look!

There are 19 ethnic groups to chose from. There are 9 marital status’s’s’s’s to choose from. 11 ways to travel to work. 15 kinds of qualifications asked about. ETCetc

No wonder I’ve not finished yet.

I’ve got to ask all three men around me their sexual orientation and gender :o)
