I made a full pork roast dinner yesterday and we had a load left over – so today I’m doing “Bubble & Squeak.”
This is basically the same pork, carrots, broccoli, green beans, yorkshire puds, roast parsnip and potatoes and GRAVY, smushed together roughly and fried in a pan with olive oil, garlic pepper and an unhealthy splash, dash of Dark Soy Sauce.
Soy Sauce is salty and gives the meal a great rich look and flavour. Don’t be a coward and choose the light, low salt version. Go BIG. Go DARK :o)
BTW : Don’t be a food snob. It may look like a train wreak but it tastes good. And there is no waste.
Cabbage and mash. Pfffftttuh.
