I’ve been on a mission all week.

Last weekend two punnets of strawberries were bought from the local Tesco at £3 each. They looked good but but had zero taste.

As we are still having night frosts here, I’ve little room to start a full seed campaign but the Saturday market saved me.

I love talking to the stall owners about their plants, asking advice etc and (today) I even haggled them down.

12 strawberry plants and about 30 petit pois plants for less money than 2 punnets of totally tasteless tat.

Happy as can be :o)

Oh. I’ve not grown peas since I was a child. Let’s see if the old brainbox has remembered how to do it. LOL!
