I have created a tiny herb patch a few steps from the back door. There is already rosemary, sage and chives from last years and I have thyme, coriander, parsley, tarragon seeds to plant.
There is just old fashioned garden mint missing. We adore baby new potatoes steamed with mint and finished with butter, salt and pepper.
So, I took a trip down the hill to the local garden centre to buy a small pot of mint.
Nothing goes straight forwardly for me lately. I left with a scented geranium, a Hidcote Lavender, a wallflower and the glorious vision of the young lads who’d just served me and their story about being chased by a scary goose with big teeth and massive claws.
Is it just me?
